April  25-27 – Hazen Art Show. Open to the public, the show features hundreds of works in various mediums by artists from across the state. The event also features demonstrations and entertainment.  

April 26 – Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site celebrate the return of spring to the villages with “A New Beginning”, with programs and activities presented by Tribal representatives and historians.  For more information, call 745-3309.

July 18-19 – Annual Praise on the Prairie, a two-day outdoor family concert at River Bend Ranch northeast of Hazen. The event features nationally known as well as local musical groups sharing gospel and country music.

July 24 – Crazy Daze closes down Main Street as Hazen businesses bring out the sales. Food stands and many activities are featured for the entire family.

July 26-27 – Northern Plains Indian Culture Fest at Knife River Indian Village National Historic Site. Experience cultural demonstrations of the lives of American Indian Tribes and traders that lived on the plains. For more information, contact Knife River Indian Villages at 745-3309.

Aug. 2 – Knife River Care Center Foundation Benefit Golf Scramble at Black Sands Golf Course at Beulah, N.D. Date subject to change.

Aug. 2-3 – Stanton Knife River Days features a weekend long celebration with a parade, kids games, lawn mower races, street dance, food vendors and beef barbecue.

Dec. 19-20 – Knife River Chorale Concert, featuring more than 50 area musicians and vocalists performing traditional and contemporary music in a festive holiday setting. Performances are held at the Hazen Elementary School beginning at 7 p.m. MDT.
