The Treasurer's office is used by taxpayers, state agencies, lending institutions, and realty companies, providing easy access to tax and real estate records throughout the year to anyone who requests that information.  Treasurers are responsible for keepring track of all property taxes, including delinquency and foreclosures, and act as accountant, financial manager and investor for the county.  Benefits offered include health, retirement, holidays, sick, and vacation. Part-Time Emergency Manager Position

Mercer County is looking to fill the position of Emergency Manager to serve the counties of both Mercer and Oliver. This is a part-time position that will operate with varying hours. This position is responsible for managing and directing the administration of the County Emergency Management programs to support and assure state of readiness of the emergency operations center and to develop and maintain a comprehensive system in which to respond to, and recover from, known and unforeseen hazards or situations caused by an act of nature or man. Professional work experience in emergency management, education, public or business administration, operational planning or research is desirable. Deputy Sheriff

Mercer County Sheriff’s Office

Deputy Sheriff is responsible in an assigned district for general police work; prevention and detection of crime; the protection of life and property; and routine tasks in accordance with rules and regulation, under supervision of the Sheriff.  Must possess Peace Officer license or have received the appropriate schooling and training to be licensable in the State of ND.
